We’re thrilled to introduce KafkaLM-70B-German-V0.1: a 70-billion-parameter model built on top of the Llama2 70B Base Model, further fine-tuned on a curated set of popular open-source instruction datasets (translated from English to German). True to its namesake, this model doesn’t shy away from pushing linguistic boundaries—balancing proficiency with creativity to tackle complex topics in clear, accurate German.

Key Details
We utilized a 4k filtered subset of the seedboxai/multitask_german_examples_32k dataset. The model follows a straightforward prompt format with system, user, and assistant blocks, ensuring consistent, context-aware responses while preserving essential facts.
